Level and Prerequisite

Beginner. If you do not know the basics, you can join!

Private Dance Lessons with Christian Franco or Jorge Elizondo ($75/hr) Available - Learn to dance one on one with international dance instructors with over 10 years of dance experience. We will give you direct feedback and style. Price is the same for one person or one couple. Book at 832-413-2623. All levels welcome.

Partner

None required. You can come alone or with friends. We rotate during class. Pre-registration is needed to meet 50-50 class ration between guys and ladies.

Course Length

Over Thirteen hours of techniques, dance, tips, moves, and figures in Kizomba, Salsa, Cumbia, and Bachata!. During the first hour we start with the introduction of each dance. During the following hours we will elevate your skills and knowledge. You will be a dance machine!

Limited Spots

Only 20 spots per workshop. Your spot is considered secure once you have prepaid for it. We do not hold unpaid spots. No exceptions.

Popular Questions asked by new students

If I signed up by myself, with whom will I dance?

No partner is required for any of our dance workshops. We ask everyone to pre-register so we can even out the class as the days get closer. If we have more ladies, we will look for more guys or viceversa. We usually get 50/50 gender ratio, so do not worry, you will dance with different people. We create a large circle and you start with one partner and then move on to the next and so on. You will make friends fast!

If I paid for the workshop and I can't attend because something came up, what happens to my payment?

If you can't make it, you will lose your money. All sales are final. No refunds or credits for missing special workshops with guest instructors. If you know you may be on call or that you may have to do something that night, please do not sign up. Every spot is accounted for. You can sell or transfer your ticket to another party. Let us know to keep the list updated.

What do I wear?

Men: casual/dressy clothes and dress shoes recommended. No shorts. No wifebeaters.

Ladies: casual/dressy clothes and low heel / flat shoes recommended

Note that Sandals and rubber sole shoes are not recommended.

Do I need to know any dancing?

No! If you never danced before, this is a great chance to learn from two seasoned Dance Instructors!

Jorge Elizondo was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, where the sounds of Mexico, the Caribbean, and the United States meet. In this unique environment, Jorge trained in music theory and Latin dance and developed "Bachata Fusion," a style of dance that combines turn patterns and body movements from traditional Bachata, Tango, Cha Cha, and Salsa with many original moves. International Dance Instructor Christian Franco was born and raised in Lima Peru and migrated to United States in 1992. His skills in dancing incorporates techniques he has learned by training from several renowned instructors in dances such as Country Western (1998), Ballroom (2000), Salsa (2003), Bachata (2005), Tango (2006), and recently most Kizomba (2011).

Natural for his teaching ability, Christian Franco has been invited to teach across the country and abroad. His classes are always fun, engaging, and empowering. He pays great attention to details and loves breaking down complex movements into easy to follow building blocks. He has conducted Afro-Latin workshops all across major cities in Texas: Dallas, Austin, Lubbock, San Antonio, Houston, as well around the US: West Palm Beach, FL, Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, New Jersey, NJ, Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Internationally he has taught in Madrid, Spain; Paris, France; Hanoi, Vietnam; Bangkok, Thailand; Shanghai, China; and Taipei, Taiwan.
