7:15-8:00PM Check-in. Come in, get your name tag, get a drink, food menu also available
8:00-8:30PM Meet and Greet the crowd - your new dance friends.
8:30-9:30PM Round one: Bachata to break the ice
9:30-9:45PM Break: Get a drink, regroup.
9:45-10:30PM Round two: Salsa Merengue to shake those hips
10:30-Midnight: Fun Social dancing and socializing
Midnight - 12:30 Bonus Round: Kizomba to connect!
12:30a-2:00a Fun Social dancing and socializing
*We will do our absolute best to stay on time. Please help us by arriving early, and reading the tips below.
TIPS TO AVOID SOME ROOKIE MISTAKES
1. Don't get "wasted" before or during the event! Have a drink before and another drink after in moderation. Keep your balance while trying the dance moves, do not regret saying weird things LOL
2a. Keep an open mind I: Do not shut yourself of. Talk to people. Maybe you will meet a really cool best friend, network with some for a job, who knows. Don't pressure yourself into meeting the love of you life the first time around.
2b. Keep an open mind II: Do not be afraid to try dancing. Do not come to the event and sit down in the corner thinking that you can't move. You will not enjoy it. Take a chance, ask someone for a dance!
3. Have a good breath. You will talk and dance with several people! Come prepare. We will have some mints as well.
4. Respect the Bell. After an certain amount of time, you will switch to the next person in line. Do not take time away from the other guests that are wanting to meet and dance. Rotate. Meet everyone!
5. First impressions count! Have a good handshake. And make note of everyone name in your card when you meet them.
6. Engage, do not dominate. Keep conversation light as an even exchange.
7. Let the instructors teach the class. Do not teach your own set of moves. Do not worry, we will keep the moves fun, easy to follow, and nice! If you can walk, you can dance!
8. Avoid asking for phone numbers. No pressure. Have fun. We will help you do the matching. We will contact you via email.
